This was a 70 page Master’s Thesis for a good friend of mine. I had a lot of fun on this project because other than an 8.5 x 11″ document size, he gave me free reign to design it however I wanted!
With my new found freedom, I started with
a 6 x 8 grid, and played with various pages alternating between a 2-column layout and a 1-column layout using 2/3 page width.
I also added a small visual marker on the outside margin of each page to act like breadcrumbs for a reader which moved down the page in each progressive chapter.
